About Us

Woodzee was born on the eve of 2022, when myself (Mani) and My Friend Malik bounced upon a group of artisans making some beautiful wooden items at a village. We saw a lot of goodness around with the kind of work that was being done and  wanted to replicate the same in the form of Wooden Toys. It took us back to our own school days where most of the street games like ‘Gilli-Danda’,’ Pambaram’ were based on simple wood as it provided all the fun, engagement with friends in those golden times of the past. In an era where children are exposed to a plethora of plastic made toys, virtual games, we genuinely felt a dearth of simple, safe, and smart wooden toys that can engage children in the most productive ways. We became a team of four like-minded people with our respective wives joining the team bringing in them a basic knowledge of Montessori based learning techniques and an eye to bring toys that combine fun and skill making it a great experience to our dear little champs. We studied the paints used largely in toys and made sure to make ours ‘Lead free’ and there by an Eco Friendly Toy that a child can safely play with.

We have carefully hand-picked toys and try it out with our own children while understanding their liking and reactions seriously before finalizing on any Woodzee toy. The manufacturing is done under our eyes where each of the processes adopted are double checked for safety and durability before taking the final transformation of a Woodzee Toy. 

Our Woodzee ambassador is ‘Lolo’ lion mate, who is always ready for a game and would bring a sense of smile and pride among the children. Its going to be an exciting journey together as we would travel across geographies to spot the goodness among the wooden toys and make it accessible in the tiny hands of our dear little ones with all the care and love.
